What is CBG?

What is CBG?

What Is Cannabigerol (CBG)?

Cannabigerol (CBG) is a non-intoxicating compound found in the cannabis plant. Unlike other well-known compounds such as THC and CBD, CBG is considered a minor cannabinoid, meaning that it is found in smaller quantities in the plant. However, its potential therapeutic benefits are rapidly gaining attention, and many researchers believe that CBG could significantly impact the future of medical cannabis.

CBG is known to have a range of therapeutic benefits, including pain relief, anti-inflammatory effects, and the potential to improve mood and reduce anxiety. It has also been shown to have antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-tumor properties, making it a promising candidate for further research and development.

One study published in the British Journal of Pharmacology found that CBG reduced inflammation in rats, while another study published in the Journal of Psychopharmacology found that CBG had a significant effect on reducing anxiety in mice. In addition, a study published in the Journal of Natural Products found that CBG had strong antibacterial properties, which could make it a promising candidate for treating bacterial infections.

CBG works by interacting with the body’s endocannabinoid system, which plays a role in regulating a wide range of physiological processes, including pain perception, mood, and immune function. By increasing the levels of endocannabinoids in the body, CBG can help improve overall health and well-being.

One of the unique things about CBG is that it acts as a “building block” for other cannabinoids, such as THC and CBD. This means that as the plant matures, the levels of CBG decrease as it is converted into other cannabinoids. However, with advances in cultivation and extraction techniques, it is now possible to produce high-CBG strains of cannabis, which allows for the extraction of higher levels of CBG for therapeutic use.

CBD and CBG when used together can complement each other and provide even greater therapeutic benefits. For example, one study published in the European Journal of Pain found that a combination of CBD and CBG was more effective at reducing pain and improving mobility in rats than either compound alone. Another study published in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology found that the combination of CBD and CBG effectively reduced anxiety in rats.

The combination of CBD and CBG can also provide a more well-rounded therapeutic effect, as they interact with different receptors in the endocannabinoid system. For example, CBD has been shown to have a stronger affinity for the CB1 receptor, which is associated with pain and inflammation, while CBG has a stronger affinity for the CB2 receptor, which is associated with immune function and inflammation.

The combination of CBD and CBG has the potential to provide greater therapeutic benefits than either compound alone. While more research is needed to fully understand the effects of using these compounds together, the early results are promising and suggest that the combination of CBD and CBG could be effective for a range of ailments.

Vibrance Tincture is a cutting-edge product designed to enhance your daily routine. With 1000mg of CBD and 1000mg of CBG in MCT oil, it offers a powerful blend of cannabinoids to help bring your body into balance. This tincture is easy to use and is recommended to be taken daily. Simply take 1-2 full droppers, hold under the tongue for 60 seconds, and then swallow. The perfect combination of CBD and CBG has been shown to regulate mood and boost anandamide, the “bliss molecule,” which is known for improving memory and cognitive functions. The synergistic blend of these cannabinoids will leave you feeling awakened, elevate your mood, and help relieve stubborn aches and pains. Whether you are looking to start your day off right or need a pick-me-up in the afternoon, Vibrance Tincture has got you covered.

CBG has also been found to have numerous benefits for the skin due to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. These properties can help protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals, soothe and calm irritated skin, and potentially fight against bacteria that can lead to breakouts. In addition, CBG has been shown to increase skin hydration levels, promote cell growth and healing, and may even help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Our Restore Face Creme combines CBG with CBD and blends them with aloe vera, shea butter, nourishing oils, and soothing botanicals such as chamomile and calendula flower extract for healthy, happy, glowing skin.
